The Three-Name Map: Why Good Local Firms Vanish From Google

Google's local map shows three businesses and hides the rest. Renomex says the fix is not better work but more, fresher, checkable reviews.

Search for a dentist, a mechanic or a café on a phone and Google answers with a small map. It holds three names. Everyone else sits below the fold, where few people ever scroll.

The ranking nobody explains

Google's local ranking leans on three signals: the average star rating, the number of reviews and how recently new ones arrived. A firm with a handful of old reviews loses to a rival with many fresh ones — even when its work is better.

The reason is human. Unhappy customers write without being asked. Happy customers pay, say thank you and leave.

What Renomex does about it

Renomex says it is not in the review business but in the business of putting firms on the map: it asks every customer for feedback at the right moment, by QR code, WhatsApp, SMS or e-mail.

Check your own position

A free check at renomex.app/#check takes about a minute, needs no sign-up and compares a business with the three names currently on its local map.
