Three Rivers, One Reserve: Ethicoin's Ghana Commitment
Instead of taxing every transfer, Ethicoin set aside a tenth of its supply for rivers damaged by illegal gold mining in Ghana.
Ghana's Pra, Ankobra and Birim rivers have been badly damaged by galamsey, the local name for unlicensed gold mining. Ethicoin (ETHIC+) ties part of its supply to their repair.
A tenth, set aside
Ten percent of all ETHIC+ — 100,000,000,000 tokens — is reserved for river remediation. The project chose a fixed reserve over a fee on every transfer, so using the token costs holders nothing extra.
Outside the circulating count
The reserve is excluded from circulating supply in Ethicoin's gold formula. It was never meant to trade, so it does not dilute the gold reference of the tokens that do.
Following the money
Because ETHIC+ lives on a public chain, movements out of the reserve can be followed on RichXScan — the kind of record IFRIT LEAKS was made to read.
Disclosure: Renomex and Ethicoin belong to the same network as IFRIT LEAKS. This dossier is based on what the projects publish and what anyone can check on the chain.
